I want people to be able to fulfil their professional potential and be happy at work. In the almost 30 years of my professional career to-date I have lead and continue to lead teams both in industry and in professional services across Australia and in markets in Asia and Europe. I have collaborated with clients in multiple sectors in the areas of strategy and their growth agenda, delivered significant commercial value repeatedly as an executive or as a Strategy Partner in professional services. These are dimensions against which most would say I have been very successful. Yet throughout my career I’ve either personally experienced or have witnessed moments when as a collective we have inhibited the capacity of individuals to be at their best. We are yet to succeed in fostering a workplace free from everyday biases and moments when people are diminished by others either because of their gender, cultural background or sexual orientation.
I want to make a difference beyond what I can achieve in my everyday responsibilities. I believe Gotaminute can help to strengthen the everyday skills of ‘how’ to communicate and address these mircoments – in the moment. As a result we will help to unlock potential and improve productivity in our society.
Director of EducationI have a strong belief in the extraordinary ability of people to accomplish almost anything when their values and vision are aligned with the work they do, and they are given the opportunity to succeed in a safe and challenging environment. For over 25 years I have helped individuals and organizations navigate the perceived conflict of creating an environment that is both safe and challenging.
For the past 4 years I have led by own consulting practice working with Government, industry and non-profits. In this role I integrate neuroscience and my understanding of the dynamics of complex systems to improve learning and performance by designing and delivering programs and strategies that enable leaders and organizations to improve performance and achieve results. Prior to this position, I did similar work for NASA as Director of a number of the Agency’s most successful leadership development programs including Executive Coaching, Leadership Development, Fellowship, Mentoring, and the Systems Engineering Leadership Development Program.
From these vantage points I have seen where the unthinking words or actions by a few, and a perceived unsafe environment, can quickly change a smart, motivated and creative individual into someone who’s contribution is greatly diminished. I have also seen where individual’s who are unsure of their own ability to engage others, shut down and stop trying, and communication stops. Our work at Got a Minute is to rebuild these important connections and empower individuals on both sides with the skills they need to be their best.

I’ve been designing and running programs for over 23 years. My focus has been on building leadership thinking and behaviours at all levels. When everyone is included, you tend to find extraordinary performance occurs with far less energy and effort, great ideas come from the most unlikely of places and people take the joy they experience at work home to their families and communities.
I’ve logged in over 10,000 hours of coaching and facilitating, including senior leaders in corporate, government and small businesses across multiple sectors and countries. I was also global head of Coaching for Results (now Neuroleadership Group) responsible for the coaches agency, continuing education and mentoring of over 2000 coaches worldwide.
I see Got a Minute as the missing key to fast-forwarding gender parity and building truly diverse workplaces, without blaming or demonising.
